I always hear this poem whenever I tuned it to my favorite morning radio program.
To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who has failed a grade.
To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who has given birth to a pre-mature baby.
To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realize the value of ONE DAY, ask a daily wage laborer who has kids to feed.
To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.
To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who has missed the train or plane.
To realize the value of ONE SECOND, ask a person who has avoided an accident.
To realize the value of ONE MILLI-SECOND, ask the person who has won a silver medal in the Olympics.
I've heard this poem for so many times already but every time I hear this, it makes me value time even more. TIME...the most precious thing that man possesses... but often neglected. We even wish sometimes that we can have more time more than the 24hours that God gave us so we can do more things.
But the truth is...Time passes quickly. And time that passes can never return, nor can it be compensated for, for time is irretrievable. We can never turn back time that's why we need to treasure every moment that we have. And treasure it more because we shared it with someone special, special enough to spend our time.
